Ambler, PA is a borough in the Montgomery County area, Pennsylvania about 16 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Ambler was formerly known as the Wissahickon Village,and in 1869, it was changed to Ambler after Mary Johnson Ambler, a Quaker native, who was considered as a hero of the great train wreck of 1856.
